God is Restoring Dreams – Watch Now

God is Restoring Dreams – Watch Now

Hi Beloved,

I truly believe we’re in a season where God is not only restoring forgotten dreams but calling us to partner with Him in rebuilding areas that have been broken or left behind.

Isaiah 58:12 (NLT) says:
"Some of you will rebuild the deserted ruins of your cities. Then you will be known as a rebuilder of walls and a restorer of homes."

This verse speaks directly to what God is doing in and through us. There are places in our lives – and in the lives of those around us – where walls have crumbled. Maybe there are broken relationships, old dreams left unpursued, or areas we once had hope in but let go. God is inviting us to step into those spaces as rebuilders and restorers.

I dive deeper into this in my latest video, reflecting on how sometimes we focus on the size of the breach, the brokenness, and it feels overwhelming. But God gently reminds us:
"Don’t focus on the breach – focus on Me."

The story of Nehemiah illustrates this beautifully. When Nehemiah saw the walls of Jerusalem in ruins, his first response wasn’t to gather materials or rally builders – he turned to God in prayer. Before addressing the people or stepping forward with plans, Nehemiah mourned, fasted, and interceded for the city.

Nehemiah 1:4 (NLT) says:
"When I heard this, I sat down and wept. In fact, for days I mourned, fasted, and prayed to the God of heaven."

Nehemiah didn’t rush to fix things with his own strength. He understood that true restoration begins in God’s presence. His prayer wasn’t just for protection or success – it was one of humility, repentance, and asking for God’s favor.

By the time Nehemiah stood before the people in Nehemiah 2:17-18 (NLT), his heart was aligned with God’s purpose:
"But now I said to them, ‘You know very well what trouble we are in. Jerusalem lies in ruins, and its gates have been destroyed by fire. Let us rebuild the wall of Jerusalem and end this disgrace!’ Then I told them about how the gracious hand of God had been on me... They replied at once, ‘Yes, let’s rebuild the wall!’ So they began the good work."

Rebuilding begins with prayer and one step at a time – brick by brick, God leads the way. Nehemiah’s confidence in leading others came from the assurance he received in prayer. His trust in God’s hand stirred the hearts of those around him to say, “Yes, let’s rebuild!”

Isaiah 58:12 in the ESV takes it even deeper:
"And your ancient ruins shall be rebuilt; you shall raise up the foundations of many generations; you shall be called the repairer of the breach, the restorer of streets to dwell in."

The word breach in Hebrew is “perets” (פֶּרֶץ), which means a gap, break, or rupture. It reflects areas in our lives, families, and communities where there are vulnerabilities, brokenness, and places left open.

Being a repairer of the breach means standing in those gaps and partnering with God to restore and rebuild what was lost. It’s an invitation to become intercessors, healers, and restorers – brick by brick, prayer by prayer.
