Dear Beloved,
This year has been everything new. A new city, a new home, a new job, new people, new rhythms—a season of immense transition. Nothing was familiar, and everything was challenging. I’ve been stretched further than I ever thought possible. And through all of it, God has revealed something profound to me: how much I have relied on my own strength, comfort, and pride.
The stripping of these things has been painful, but it has been necessary. God is doing a new thing—not just in me, but in all of us. And He’s calling us to surrender.
For months, God has kept me at His feet, teaching me the deep lesson that He alone is enough. Every step has been a surrender: fighting my flesh, laying down my control, and letting go of everything I once thought was secure. It’s been a fight, and it’s been humbling. But I now understand that only through this surrender will we experience His fullness.
The truth is, He’s asking us to do more than let go of comfort—He’s asking us to let go of our lives, if that’s what it takes to follow Him. We are not just surrendering our comforts, but our pride, our need for control, and our very lives. And as I’ve done this, God has shown me that in the hard places, He is the way.
“Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” — Isaiah 43:19
God is preparing us for a new season, one where His ways are higher than ours, where we trust Him to make a way in places we never thought possible. He’s breaking down the pride, the comfort, and the security we once held so tightly to, so that He can build something deeper, more powerful, and more eternal in us.
But this message isn’t just for me—it’s for all of us. As we step into 2025, I want to call you to this same surrender. God is doing a new thing, and He’s asking us to be ready to let go of what holds us back. We are being called to prepare the way for the Lord—this means breaking down pride, letting go of our own desires, and fully surrendering to His plan.
I invite you to join me on this journey. Watch my new video New Beginnings in Christ: Surrendering for God’s Work in 2025, where I share more about what God is doing in my life and what He is calling us all to in this new season. I believe that as you watch, you’ll be encouraged, convicted, and empowered to step into this year with a heart that says, “Here I am, Lord, send me.”
This season of surrender is not easy. But when we give up our control, when we surrender our pride, we open ourselves to the fullness of what God has in store. And I can promise you this—God is preparing a way where there seems to be none. He is making rivers in the desert, and He is doing something new in you, in me, and in His people.
“They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.” — Revelation 12:11
This is what it takes to walk in the fullness of God’s purpose—surrendering our lives so that we can fully embrace His will. God is calling us to trust Him completely, even when it means letting go of everything we once thought we needed. It’s in this place of surrender that we find His grace, His strength, and His presence in a deeper way than we could have ever imagined.
As we move forward into 2025, I’m excited to see how God will continue to work in us and through us. This is a new season of transformation, renewal, and breaking free from what has held us back.
I’m inviting you to join me in fully surrendering to His plan. Let’s be ready to walk in His new thing, trusting that He will make a way, even when the path is unclear. Together, we can experience the fullness of what He has for us—together, we can prepare the way of the Lord.
